Frequently asked questions
IRIA chargers are compatible with most electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles on the market. Our chargers use the Type 2 (Mennekes) connector, which is the standard in Europe for Mode 3 (AC) charging. This standard guarantees optimal compatibility with most electric models from European manufacturers and other regions that follow this regulation.
In addition, IRIA chargers comply with IEC 61851 international regulations and have CE marking, ensuring safe, efficient charging that meets the quality standards required in Europe.
Of course!
At IRIA, we believe in the harmony between technology and design. You can choose finishes and materials so that the charger fits perfectly into its surroundings, whether it’s a hotel, a historic center, or a modern urban space.
Our materials include options such as aluminum, stainless steel, and wood, each with different treatments to ensure durability and weather resistance. For more rustic or natural settings, we have wood finishes, which allow the charger to blend into the landscape without disrupting its aesthetic.
As for colors, we offer a standard palette that includes black, white, blue, green… but if you need a corporate color or a specific shade to fit your company’s visual identity, we can adapt the design to your needs.
That’s why we’ll soon have a configurator available where you can preview some of the possible combinations. But the combinations don’t end there. Send us your proposal and we’ll make it a reality!

The installation of IRIA chargers must be performed by a qualified and certified technician. Our chargers are designed to be installed both indoors and outdoors, ensuring their strength and durability.
For installation, it is essential to have a stable and suitable surface, either on the floor or on a wall, ensuring proper mounting and security. Furthermore, it is necessary to comply with all current electrical regulations, ensuring a safe and efficient connection to the electrical grid. Our equipment requires an alternating current (AC) supply and is designed to operate in Mode 3 (according to IEC 61851).
It is also important to have adequate electrical protections, although the charger itself is internally protected to ensure the safety of the installation and the user. For more technical details and specific requirements, please refer to our installation manual.
Through the Electromaps app, you can monitor charging in real time, schedule time, and manage energy consumption from anywhere.
Plus, if it’s a public charger, you can also use this same app to pay from your mobile device, making your experience easier and faster.
